The remission - La rémission

8 months have passed since the last terrorist arrest. The vegetation has been slowly dying in the right lung area where radiation was used to carry the attack against the terrorists. Nevertheless the population went back to their daily routine, silently accepting the damages caused by the war. The fear of terrorism has not vanished though. People stay alert and suspicious of anything unusual. They expect the threat to come back. They just don't know when and how serious will be the next threat. Satellites images are taken every 3 months to evaluate changes in the lungs. This way, the authorities hope to detect the next terrorist activity before it's too late. But they are not sure how good they will be able to handle the next threat. They are aware of the greater danger they may have to face. Indeed if terrorists managed to escape the last attacks they must have gotten stronger and smarter by now, also more prepared and more organized.

8 mois se sont déjà écoulés depuis la dernière arrestation de terroristes. La végétation dépérit petit à petit dans la zone du poumon droit où un bombardement de radiation avait été effectué pour attaquer les terroristes. Toutefois la population a repris sa routine quotidienne. Elle accepte en silence les pertes causées par la guerre. La peur du terrorisme ne s'est toutefois pas estompée. On reste sur ses gardes et méfiant vis-à-vis de tout ce qui paraît inhabituel. On s'attend au retour de la menace à chaque instant. Quelle sera la couleur du prochain danger? Quand devra t'on y faire face? Nul ne le sait. Des images satellites sont prises tous les trois mois pour évaluer les changements dans les poumons. Ainsi, les autorités espèrent détecter la prochaine activité terroriste avant qu'il ne soit trop tard. Mais elles ne savent si elles seront capables d'y faire face. Elles sont conscientes du danger approfondi auquel elles auront peut-être à faire face. En effet si des terroristes ont pu échapper aux arrestations passées, cela les aura rendus plus forts et avisés et ils seront mieux préparés et organisés pour la prochaine attaque.
